Welcome to this journey. This page was not created in the beginning for, as many journeys go, I did not realize I was on one until I had walked quite some ways into it. This is a story about curiosity, obsession, mystery, and ideology. For our purposes, my name here is Lyra. And this is a tale of Lyra, a tale of the apocalypse of my old self and my birth into another through Imagination which is responsible for all things. This is a tale of madness and of deconstruction, dissolution. This is a story also of a man named William Blake, who floats like a spectre through both coffee houses and the Internet. But more than all these things, this story is about my relationship with William Blake and the induced Apocalypse by Imagination. "To me this world is all one continued vision of fancy or imagination, and I feel flattered when I am told so. What is it sets Homer, Virgil and Milton in so high a rank of art? Why is the Bible more entertaining and instructive than any other book? Is it not because they are addressed to the imagination, which is spiritual sensation, and but immediately to the understanding or reason?" -WB |
