5 Albion Way Ah, the Troika Gallery. Of course, I'd been here before for another artist's showing. So when my nameless poet left me that clue, it rattled around my brain like a familiar tune to which I simply couldn't place the words. Luckily for me, I remembered what it was within a day or so and was able to make it to his art show before it was taken down. (Of course, you'd think he would have written a date down for me instead of egotistically assuming I'd check this clue out immediately and so not miss his show.) Due to my love of gadgetry and recent acquisition, I took my digital camera with me to chronicle my first possibly known encounter with my mystery poet. The above shot was taken from across the street and depicts an artistic window-dressing advertising the current featured artist's show. I thought it was very fetching and creative, though unusual in the Art Show world.
Under the premise that I was working for my college's newspaper, I was able to snap the above picture of the inside of the gallery. Ah, what impressiveness is hidden behind brownstone. This shot features three of the paintings to be found within the Art Show Gallery. I never linger very long at small art shows, especially not when I've a ton of schoolwork waiting to be done. This time was no exception, not even for my mystery poet. On my way out, I stopped by the guest registry to pay my respects. A proprietor of the gallery hovered nearby, smiling and reading as I wrote out my name and address, signed my name flourishingly. I smiled back with a quirk of my mouth, turned to go. He stopped me with a hand to the shoulder, drawing my eyes to the other hand which held a business card. "I was asked to give this to you, miss." What was that accent? Midwestern? I took the card.
Well. Just so. Now I had a name. And the next move was mine.
